Kingy’s Diesel Industries began operations in 2016 and has seen significant growth since. Working with some of the top crane hire, engineering and farming businesses in the state of Queensland. Kingy’s Diesel Industries are proud of its achievements to date. Of course none of these achievements would be possible without an experienced, passionate and hard working team.


Owner / Director

Kingy as he is known in the crane world started his exposure to cranes back in 2006 starting his apprenticeship for the well known Walter Wright Cranes. 

Gaining a lot of his experience from the well rounded fleet and busy workplace. Matt harnessed a lot harnessed and retained a lot of information and created a real passion for cranes. 

Finishing his Certificate III in engineering allowed matt to continue to grow his career and travel to different sites and work for companies such as Betchel, Rio Tinto, Thiess , BHP, LCR Group , John Holland just to name a few quickly creating a fantastic reputation in and around the industry. 

Along the journey several other qualifications have been completed allowing matt to be at the top of his game.

Seeing a growing market in the crane industry this is where Kingys Diesel Industries was created to help owner/operators and larger companies keep their equipment running at 100% efficiency.


Office Manager

Angie provides a friendly and welcome introduction to Kingy’s Diesel Industries at reception and on the phone and handles all the general office administration and communication.

A passionate hiker during time off, Angie has completed the Camino De Santiago across Spain, parts of the French Pyrenees and many local trails.


Leading Hand/Diesel Mechanic

A qualified and highly skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Dave has brought 40 years of experience to KDI having worked on a vast array of equipment and machinery in many geographical locations.

From Forklift mechanic in Brisbane to Tunnel Fitter on the London Underground, mining equipment at the Argyle Diamond mine, Tom Price in WA and Drill Fitter for FMG at Christmas Creek WA.

Dave relaxes by cycling, mountain biking and visiting the coast’s local breweries.


Crane Operator/Rigger/TA

Craig is a qualified and skilled Crane Operator and Rigger and also works in the roles of Trades Assistant and Hydraulic Hose Technician. When not at work, “Bouch” loves to surf and go camping and road tripping with his family.


Diesel Fitter

Chris is a qualified Heavy Road Transport Mechanic and a Light Vehicle Mechanic with over 10 years experience in a variety of roles including workshop supervisor and leading hand. He is skilled in all aspects of mechanical repairs and servicing as well as recertification of VLC’s, EWP’s and diesel cranes. Chris also undertakes some mine site diesel work for KDI and operates our mobile, onsite service.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys taking his boat out fishing, camping and family time.


Apprentice Diesel Fitter

Zac commenced with KDI in September 2019 as a School-Based Apprentice undertaking Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Maintenance-Diesel Fitting).

It soon became apparent that this was the career pathway he wanted to pursue so was converted to a full-time apprentice in April 2020.   Zac continues to dedicate himself to his trade  working towards his qualification and enjoys boating, fishing, 4X4, motocross and working on AU Falcons in his spare time.
